Point counting (Problems)

by Falsehat @, Tuesday, May 17, 2005, 20:52 (7277 days ago)

I took an exercise and got 42 out of 55.

I agree with the 42. One problem was zero as I had difficulty operating the movement of pieces. On two problems I got 2 points each (missed the best move on the first try) for a total loss of five points. 15 problems times 3 points each is 45. How can one earn the extra ten points?

What I want to know is where does the 55 total availabe points come from? True, I exceed the fifteen minute time limit but I was told via email that there was no penalty for exceeding the time limit.

Point counting

LOL...What difference does it really make how many points some mindless program gives you? If you know you got them all right, give yourself the extra 10 points, smile with satifaction and go on. It would be different if you could convert the points into cash. The whole point of the exercises is to improve your chess. So if your chess improved, I move that you should be given 25 extra points. Does anyone second my motion?
