HGIYC - 5/16 (General)

by Don Lester, Wednesday, May 18, 2005, 22:03 (7276 days ago)

Ok, I got a whopping 28 points this week. A bit lower than the past couple of weeks, but the reason was because I just couldn't resist a move that never did happen in the game, nor was it refuted as a 'bad' move in any of the text that I recall, so I am just curious if anyone has any thoughts.

Throughout the better part of the game you have a rook sitting on B1, and the B file is open, but you are doing battle on the D file with the queen/rook/and even the knight to some extent. I kept wanting to do a rook lift and get my B file rook over into the action. That still looks to be a respectable course of action to me, but I am probably missing something.

Any thoughts?

which game are you talking about? It's quite good, if we can help each other with problems like you mentioned - like the blind leading the blind :-) but we're all blind in different areas, so we may be able to help each other.
