Gym Problems (General)

by Eazy @, Tuesday, April 05, 2005, 20:54 (7319 days ago)

I found Aprils intermediate problems much harder to solve than those in March.
Do you agree or disagree? Any reasons why?

Hi Eazy;
I found this months tactical puzzles just a little harder than last months. But that is fine with me because if I get them all right the first time than I am in too easy of a group. Intermediate seems to be perfect for me. Aprils first puzzle really messed my timing up. I didn't know white or black. Never had that before. Anyway I missed that one...haha.

My only problem is the moving of the pieces. Why can't they be simply drag and click. Sometimes I click on a piece and put it in the same square and it charges me as an incorrect move. I think they can work on that. Do you agree?

Still I am satisfied with the site and plan to really study.

Hi Cajundog

We know it's a bit different from drag and drop, but we are using the industry standard Palview for internet driven chess software. However, we are looking at alternatives.

Hope you're getting used to it.

Re being penalised for lifting the piece, that's our Editor Tony Kosten's insistence...don't touch the piece unless you plan to move it, just like in real chess!?!

Yup, chess can be tough...

I had similar problems with the drag and drop. Also I pushed myself to finish in the alloted time proving I'm not very good under pressure. I should improve though.

Cheers
