You may have had a slight head start on the rest of us at the beginning of this year ;)

I don't relax over the summer because I still have a scholastic chess club I coach. It is a real blast working with kids on this stuff. The ones that come during the summer, taking time out of their vacation, are even more fun to work with. They are little sponges that just soak this stuff up. When the school year starts up again the number of regular attendees will at least triple. Go figure ;)

Tonight is going to be extra fun because one of the few scholastic tournaments in the area over the summer was just held in Oregon and our kids took 1st and 2nd place. Those trophies will get the kids excited about the regular season in the fall.
