Lack of continuity (General)
It seems to me that players like me,1800-1900,are able to play good or even excellent moves at times during the game, but sooner or later the quality of these moves tend to deteriorate and the game result suffer from it.
I am not sure why that happens, but in my opinion is the most important factor in my playing and I am sure in a lot of us play. Why at times I understand the position well and at times I do not anymore ?
Mihaela when in Bucharest I had the fortune to spend sometime with Mihai Ghinda and as you probably know he teaches classic chess:according to Steinitz principles you assess a position.you make a plan then you calculate the necessary moves and so on,with changes, that you observe and keep in your 'mental' notebook, you do it again etc.
It seems a clear way of playing the game but again ups and down of quality of moves.
Tony and Mihaela what do you think ? Sorry I did not mean to be too personal otherwise I should have gone to the personal coaching session, but I am sure it is of interest to most of us.
Merry Christmas to all !

Well, it depends on what type of mistakes you are making, of course. I really think you need some personal coaching Giorgio, maybe we should make that the next 'Unlock Your Genius' prize!!

Thanks Tony!
