? Please check out our new Blindfold Visual Trainer software (Beta version)
? and tell us of any problems, comments or suggestions for improvement you
? have. :-)

I got an error about a failure to install a font, but I clicked ignore and I didn't see any issues with the interface.

When clicking on the help it crashed the program, but that is somewhat to be expected in a beta version. There won't be a lot of error checking for unimplemented features.

I don't know how much interest there would be, but this kind of thing would be really good with a DGT interface.

Well, that is probably because we haven't done the help files yet! :-)

There is now a second version, with a new "Options" option (!) on the menu which allows you to rotate the board or hide/show the notation box.
Also, we fixed the problem with the first game of the PGN file (now you can click even in game 1) and added a bigger font for the actual move played. :-)

I too had the font error on installation, but clicking Ignore installed properly without gliches.

For the first game I had the move list on and found I kept checking what had been played. In a way this seemed a bit pointless.

For the second game, I clicked through the 15-move game without the move-list on, then tried to set-up the position. Without checking I felt I had about 75% correct, but I found I had no recollection about several of the pieces. I clicked through the moves twice more before I felt confident. Yes indeed the black knight was really still on b8 after having not moved at all!

The option to hide the move list makes it so much better. It forces you to concentrate on each move as it happens. Strangely I found it was the pieces that hadn't moved which gave me most problem!

Its great that you provide a database of 3000+ minigames to work through. Overall I think it is a good addition to the tools you provide, though it would be nice if there was some sort of scoring system...

A scoring system, that's a great idea! I will ask the programmer. :-)

I don't know why you can't see the whole program, and I'm afraid there isn't a great deal of help available, just what's written in this thread and on the http://members.improveyourchess.com/downloads/download3.php page.
