I wouldn't waste your time studying openings unless you're at master level. I went down that road and found that my middlegame was crap. Now, I am on the right track, studying tactics, why do you think that IYC are doing chess puzzles and not opening theory? There are zillions of funny openings but none of them are any good to you unless you know how to take advantage of being ahead after the opening moves.
