Marking all threads as read. (General)

by AndreaCoda, Tuesday, September 30, 2008, 11:15 (6043 days ago)

Hi all.

A quick question on the forum: even if I click the “Mark all threads as read” button, after having checked the forum, every time I reconnect I have a bunch of (old) posts showing up as containing new posts (which is not the case, I checked several times).

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance,

Andrea

The tooltip for the Refresh icon says "Refresh / Mark all threads as read".

yep, but at least for me, it does not seem to Mark the threads as read - it marks them on the spot, but when I log off and log on again, they are again all marked as unread!

I've just had a go at marking them all as read, and then logged off and they are still marked as read. Could it be something to do with cookies?!

I think I got the trick. If you logoff, after having marked them as read, rather than just closing the window, it looks like next time you logon, thet are correct.

So the trick could be mark them all read, then logoff.

Hope this helps!
