? Does a stronger player calculate specific lines to the end, or do they
? rely on intuition and previous experience to evaluate the position,
? thinking for example that the outcome would be 70:30 in their favour but
? accepting the risk that it may not work out in the end.

A bit of both, but certainly Kramnik would have analyzed the main lines quite far.
