LinearForum Upgrade! (General)

I suddenly thought it was a good idea to update the Forum software (we'd never bothered before!) to make it more stable, more secure ... and nicer to look at! 
If anyone discovers any problems with this new version please post here!

After updating the Forum software we discovered that there was a bug which meant that the activation email wasn't sent out when new members tried to register. 
This has since been fixed 
so if you failed to register before, sorry for the hassle, and please try again!
